Frequently Asked Questions
FAQs
Where are you located?
We are located at 5402 W Overland Rd in Boise, Idaho, on the Central Bench. Our suite is inside Pure Motion Chiropractic and Mend Bodywork. Our office building is located at the corner of W Overland Rd & S Phillippi St. adjacent to Hillcrest Shopping Center. Parking is freely available at the side/rear of our building.
What forms of payments do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, including VISA, Mastercard, Discover, and AMEX. We can also accept Apple Pay, Cash App, JCB, UnionPay, Venmo and Zelle. Clients have the option to TAP TO PAY or DIP during check out (unless prepaid online or card is saved on file).
Cash is accepted. However, we do not carry or hold cash for change. Cash must be paid in exact amount of service fee, including tip is optional.
We do NOT accept checks or money orders.
Do you take insurance?
We currently do not accept health insurance nor have a registered MCC to accept Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards. However, for reimbursement purposes, we can provide receipts and chart notes upon request.
Do I tip my therapist after my treatment?
Tips are not expected, but always appreciated. Standard tipping for Massage Therapists is 20% of the service. Clients can also tip with prepayment through online booking. However, any amount is graciously accepted. We understand if clients are unable to offer gratuity.
Why is a credit/debit card required during online booking?
When online booking, clients are secured their appointment by placing a card on file, which protects therapist from late cancellations and no-shows. We do not charge the card, until check out after service completion or during our 48 hour cancellation policy.
What are your policies?
Our policies include: Cancellation, Late Arrivals, and Client Conduct. You can review our policies, here.
What services are you NOT offering?
We do not offer mobile or at-home massage, prenatal massage, couples, and pediatric/minor massage. However, we are open to attending networking events or setting up a contractor agreement with other offices. Connect with us, here.
What should I expect before, during, and after my treatment service?
If booking was scheduled by the business (not online booking), you will receive a text message with a link to complete a Client Intake Form. We would appreciate it if you are able to complete this form prior to your scheduled appointment.
Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to use the restroom and discuss your treatment plan.
Before your service, therapist will exit the room for client privacy to undress and returning once client is appropriately positioned and covered on the table. During your service, therapist will check-in regularly on pressure and comfort, safely adjust draping according to treatment, and/or suggest additional practices to help improve recovery. After service, therapist will exit the room for redressing and wait for client to proceed with check out, payment (or tip if client has prepaid), and/or rebooking.
Therapist may offer recommendations on when to return, which add-ons may be beneficial, or create a health plan specific to your treatment.
Should I shower before my massage?
While it is not required, we would appreciate clients who have been active (or working out) to shower prior to their service. Taking care of your personal hygiene: wearing fresh deodorant (not heavy perfume or cologne), not smoking before your massage, and clearing the body of dirt or residue contributes to helping us reduce lingering odors or linen stains. We would be happy to offer a hot towel after service if client shall need to wipe off excess lotions/oils.
Do I receive my full scheduled appointment time?
Yes, provided that client arrives on-time or earlier, you will always receive your full 45 min, 60 min, 90 min, and 120 min hands-on massage. We do not reduce appointment time with dressing and intake/outake. We not extend for late arrivals to reduce interruptions to our next service.
What should I NOT wear to my massage?
We would encourage you to remove (or not wear) make-up and/or accessories such as jewelry, watches, large hair clips/ties or bobby pins (if you would like scalp massage). For our Compression Treatment that does not require undressing, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing that is breathable or flexible for mobility and stretching (not jeans, baggy or clothing with extra fabric, or dresses).
How often should I get a massage?
We recommend monthly massages for clients who are low-maintenance (do not have many focus or problem areas) or just want a regular relaxing treatment. For clients that do have specific health issues or active careers/lifestyles that require focus work, we recommend bi-weekly massages.
However, each client is different and may require more or less frequent treatments and/or variety of durations, add-ons, specific treatments to certain areas, etc. Please discuss your treatment plan with your therapist for a more personalized service.
